- 08/28/87 RRUN 1.0
-
- RRUN is a replacement for the AmigaDOS RUN command. RRUN offers all of
- the features of RUN and adds an additional feature -- it knows about
- RESIDENT commands.
-
- RRUN has the same syntax as the RUN command and can be used everywhere
- the RUN command can be used.
-
- Internally, RRUN checks for the presence of the resident CLI and if
- present, will create a process using this resident CLI; otherwise the
- standard CLI will be used.
-
- RRUN is 2320 bytes long -- accept no substitutes.
-
- BUGS: RRUN creates a process using the resident CLI (if present). There is
- nothing to prevent a user from unloading the resident CLI while a
- RRUNed command is active. No doubt this would be disasterous!
-
- I have a fix (sort of) for this problem. RRUN will change the
- usage count of the resident CLI to -1 -- which means that it can't
- be unloaded. I don't see this as a major problem, if you do, don't
- use RRUN. Simple!
